港估 KongGuess 玩法

港估 KongGuess 是一個免費的香港街景估地點遊戲。遊戲會把你放在香港某處的 Google 街景裡，你要憑所見的線索，在地圖上估出自己身處的位置。估得愈近，分數愈高。

一局遊戲怎樣玩

  1. 四處看看。每局有五個回合。每個回合，街景會把你放在香港的一條街道、屋邨、鄉村或地標附近。路牌、建築、招牌、地形和山海方向，都是線索。
  2. 放下圖釘。在地圖上點擊你認為自己所在的位置，確定後鎖定猜測。如果設有時間限制，時間到時未放圖釘的回合以零分計算。
  3. 看結果。地圖會顯示你的猜測、正確位置和兩者的距離，以及該回合的分數。五個回合完成後，會看到整局的總分和每個回合的成績。

怎樣計分

每個回合最高 5,000 分，一局最高 25,000 分。猜測與正確位置相距 25 米以內，即得滿分。之後距離愈遠，分數愈低；以香港的大小來說，分數會特別獎勵準確到地區、街道的猜測。大約來說，相距 1 公里約得 3,900 分，5 公里約得 1,700 分，10 公里約得 900 分。

遊戲設定

  • 地圖：可以揀涵蓋全港的地圖，或由其他玩家自製的地圖。
  • 模式：「可移動」讓你在街景中走動；「不可移動」固定在起點，但仍可轉動和縮放；「NMPZ」不可移動、不可平移、不可縮放，只靠眼前一個畫面估地點。
  • 時間限制：可以不設限制，或設定每回合 5 至 600 秒。
  • 快速開始：想即刻玩，按「快速開始」，會用你上一次的設定開局。

估地點貼士

  • 留意路牌：路名、巴士和小巴路線、地區名稱，通常是最直接的線索。
  • 香港車輛靠左行駛。看車輛、行人過路處和交通燈，可以推斷你站在路的哪一邊。
  • 看建築類型：公共屋邨、私人屋苑、唐樓、村屋和工廈，各自集中在不同地區。
  • 看地形：山、海、海底隧道出入口、高架路和天橋，能幫你縮窄範圍。
  • 看招牌上的中英文字體和商店類型，常常透露所在的區域。

How to play 港估 KongGuess

港估 KongGuess is a free Hong Kong Street View guessing game. It drops you somewhere in Hong Kong on Google Street View, and you work out where you are from what you can see, then place your guess on the map. The closer you are, the more you score.

How a game works

  1. Look around. A game has five rounds. In each round, Street View puts you on a street, in an estate, a village or near a landmark somewhere in Hong Kong. Road signs, buildings, shop signs, the lie of the land and the direction of the hills and sea are all clues.
  2. Place your pin. Click the map where you think you are, then lock in your guess. If the game has a time limit, a round where you haven't placed a pin when time runs out scores zero.
  3. See the result. The map shows your guess, the real location, how far apart they are and the round's score. After the fifth round you see the game's total and how each round went.

How scoring works

A round is worth up to 5,000 points, so a game is worth up to 25,000. A guess within 25 metres of the real spot earns the full 5,000. Beyond that the score falls with distance, tuned to Hong Kong's size so that district- and street-level accuracy is rewarded most. Roughly: 1 km away scores about 3,900, 5 km about 1,700 and 10 km about 900.

Game settings

  • Map: choose a map that covers all of Hong Kong, or one made by another player.
  • Mode: "Move" lets you walk along the street; "No Move" keeps you at the start but lets you turn and zoom; "NMPZ" (no move, pan or zoom) gives you one fixed view to go on.
  • Time limit: none, or anywhere from 5 to 600 seconds per round.
  • Quick start: to jump straight in, press Quick start, which begins a game with your last settings.

Tips for guessing

  • Read the signs: street names, bus and minibus routes and district names are usually the most direct clues.
  • Hong Kong drives on the left. Vehicles, crossings and traffic lights tell you which side of the road you're on.
  • Look at the type of buildings: public housing estates, private estates, tenement blocks, village houses and industrial buildings each cluster in different districts.
  • Look at the terrain: hills, the sea, tunnel mouths, flyovers and footbridges help narrow the area down.
  • Shop signs, their Chinese and English lettering and the kinds of shops often give away the neighbourhood.

Every game earns experience, which raises your level and unlocks avatar borders. Daily missions and the daily challenge give you something new to aim for each day.
